As Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland it is my responsibility
to set the budget for Leicestershire Police and related services.
Around 58% of the force's total funding comes from central Government. The remainder is
raised locally through the police 'precept'. This is the portion of your council tax
that goes towards policing.
