Statutory Information

In addition to the general right of access given to individuals under the Freedom of Information Act, and the information published by order of the Specified Information Order, the Police and Crime Commissioner is required to adopt, implement and maintain a Publication Scheme, which is based on classes of information that have been defined by the Information Commissioner.

The Elected Local Policing Bodies (Specified Information Order) 2011 as amended in 2012, The Elected Local Policing Bodies (Specified Information order) 2013 and The Elected Local Policing Bodes (Specified Information Order) amendement 2021, places a duty on the Police and Crime Commissioner to publish certain information within specified timescales and for that information to be reviewed at prescribed frequencies.

The vast majority of the information required under the Publications Scheme is set out in the Specified Information Order but the Publication Scheme does require certain other sets of information.
