PCC to visit Melton Mowbray Market

Leicestershire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Lord Willy Bach, will be in Melton Mowbray market this Tuesday morning, 15 August, to meet members of the local community and discuss policing and community safety in the area.

The Commissioner will be joined by the Leader of Melton Borough Council, Cllr Joe Orson.

They plan to visit the popular Neighbourhood Policing Area ‘crime prevention stall’ in the Market Place, before going on walkabout so that they can meet up with local retailers, stall-holders and other members of the local community.

Willy Bach is urging people to come and talk to them.  “The Police and I work in partnership with the Borough Council to tackle crime and community safety issues in the area, so it makes sense that we both hear what people have to say.  Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and the stalls are busy because I want to meet as many people as possible,” he said.
