Leicestershire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Lord Willy Bach, has responded to the news that a father and son have been sentenced for assault in Leicestershire, saying he is proud of Leicestershire Police.

Lord Bach said: "In this case I am extremely proud that the hard work of Leicestershire Police has brought these two defendants to justice. By any standards, these were very serious offences against entirely innocent victims. I never comment on sentences. That is entirely a matter for the courts. However, my Police and Crime Plan makes it clear that we will not tolerate any breaking of the law in relation to hunting."
