VRN launches 50K Youth Involvement Fund for community-based organisationsUntitled

New VRN 307x183

The Violence Reduction Network is looking for voluntary and community sector organisations to work with the central team with the aim of increasing the involvement of young people (11-24 years) in the VRN partnership whilst simultaneously co-producing a sustainable Youth Involvement Framework designed by young people for young people.

Grace Strong, Strategic Director of the VRN, said: “The VRN has already made progress in ensuring communities and young people are centre-stage in our intentions and actions but we now want to step up our efforts to involve young people in all aspects of our work.

“Young people are often most affected by serious violence and can offer invaluable insights and inform solutions. We know that this can really improve the relevance and reach of services and other initiatives such as campaigns.

“We believe that community organisations already working with young people are in an ideal position to collaborate with us and work in partnership to realise our shared goals.

“We are looking for applications from organisations which are already embedded in local communities and regularly reaching groups of young people, including those most affected by violence and other related issues. A core belief in the strengths and potential of young people and a track record of providing participation and involvement opportunities are essential”.

Grants are available up to £10,000 with grant agreements commencing in early January. Interested organisations can find further guidance and the application form here: https://www.violencereductionnetwork.co.uk/commissioning-and-grants

Applications should be submitted by: Friday 26th November at 17:00
