Are you looking for a new opportunity in Communication and Engagement?

 

The Leicestershire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) are looking for a Communications and Engagement Officer to work full-time on a permanent basis.

You will provide effective communication and engagement between the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) and Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland’s communities and partners by creating and implementing communications and engagement plans.

Raising awareness of the PCC’s work, role, Police and Crime Plan (PCP) and the Violence Reduction Network (VRN) and to champion successes and achievements.

Coordinate on the delivery of, and evaluate, a personal portfolio of PCP linked communications and engagement campaigns to meet agreed objectives and targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • To raise awareness of the PCC’s work, role, Police and Crime Plan (PCP) and Violence Reduction Network (VRN) and to promote successes and achievements.

  • In line with the forward plan develop, lead of the delivery of, and evaluate, a personal portfolio of PCP linked communications and engagement campaigns to meet agreed objectives and targets including:

  • Develop opportunities for, and arrangement and publication of, community events and meetings with key stakeholders, including preparing briefings for the PCC and DPCC. 

The must haves

  • Experience of working within a similar role, or hold a degree or industry specific qualification.

  • Experience of delivering effective communication and engagement activities, including working with the media and a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of using different technology platforms to design and deliver content for social, digital, and hard communications materials such as Adobe creative package suite with experience of filming, editing video.
