This year, Sir Clive set the overall budget (before the use of reserves) for 2015/16 at £171.573m, a reduction on the previous year.
Sir Clive’s plans, which were approved by the Police and Crime Panel on 29 January, 2015, included a slight increase in the level of council tax local residents pay towards policing by 1.99% - an increase of £3.51 per year (less than 7 pence extra per week) for a Band D property. This will generate an additional income of £1.038m for the force.
